Various disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and methods for controlling an inverter of a towed vehicle. In one exemplary embodiment, a system includes a controller. The controller includes a processor and a computer readable medium configured to store computer executable instructions configured to cause the processor to: receive sensing data indicative of a detected deceleration of the towing vehicle; and during the detected deceleration, controlling an inverter of the towed vehicle in response to the detected deceleration.
