The embodiment of the invention discloses an elevator band-type brake control method which comprises the steps that a signal processing module receives a detection signal sent by a safety circuit tail end signal detection module, and when the detection signal meets a preset condition, a first signal is output; when the drive cache module receives the first signal, the connection between a band-type brake control circuit and a drive circuit of the band-type brake control circuit is cut off; wherein the signal processing module and the drive buffer module are hardware circuits. According to the scheme of the embodiment, a series of problems existing in control only depending on software are solved, the response delay duration is shortened, and the brake control reliability is improved.
