The present invention relates to a laminate structure comprising: a fibrous laminate impregnated with a laminate matrix material; and a carbon nanotube yarn sheet which is impregnated with the yarn sheet base material. The laminate base material and the yarn sheet base material are doped with carbon particles. The yarn sheet provides lightning impulse protection. The structure is fabricated by co-curing the laminate matrix material and the yarn sheet matrix material to bond the carbon nanotube yarn sheets to the fiber laminate.
