A battery connector (7) for connecting a replaceable battery (6) to an aircraft (1), the battery connector comprising: a housing (10) configured to be secured to one of the replaceable battery (6) and the aircraft (1); and a connector element (14) comprising a first connection portion (15) configured to be releasably connected to an external connection element (4) of the other of the replaceable battery (6) and the aircraft (1). The connector element (14) further comprises a second connection portion (18) configured to be fixedly connected with the replaceable battery (6) or the aircraft (1) to which the housing (10) is configured to be fixed. The connector element (14) is supported in the housing (10) by at least one flexible element (19) in the horizontal direction (XY), said at least one flexible element (19) being positioned at least partially between the connector element (14) and the housing (10) such that there is a space between the connector element (14) and the housing (10) in the horizontal direction (XY). The connector element (14) is supported in the housing (10) in the vertical direction (Z) by an upper flexible element (21) positioned between an upper portion (23) of the connector element (14) and the housing (10) and a lower flexible element (22) positioned between a lower portion (24) of the connector element (14) and the housing (10) such that there is a space between the connector element (14) and the housing (10) in the vertical direction (Z).
