The invention relates to the field of railway vehicle damping component manufacturing, in particular to a Z-shaped center traction damping device which comprises a center pin seat arranged at the bottom of a locomotive and traction pull rods symmetrically installed on the two sides of the center pin seat, the traction pull rods and the center pin seat are arranged in a Z shape, and the traction pull rods and the center pin seat are connected through traction nodes. By optimizing the structures and/or materials of the center pin base and the traction joint, various light-weight method combinations are achieved. In order to adjust the rigidity of the rubber body, the design of combining the empty direction and the solid direction is adopted; due to the change of the material of the outer sleeve, the light-density material is easy to deform during press fitting, and the ovality of the light-density material is greatly increased compared with that of an existing product, so that the hollow direction is arranged to be annularly distributed along the circumferential direction of the core shaft; the hollow edge is in an arc shape protruding towards one side of the outer sleeve, the ovality between the hollow outer diameter and the solid outer diameter can be reduced, and the press-fitting risk is reduced.
