The invention discloses a hydraulic brake system for a three-axle automobile and a control method of the hydraulic brake system. The hydraulic brake system comprises an ECU, an electric push rod I, a brake master cylinder I, a main pipeline I, a normally-open electromagnetic valve III, a normally-open electromagnetic valve IV, a left brake wheel cylinder set and a right brake wheel cylinder set. The ECU is used for controlling the on-off of the normally open solenoid valve III and the normally open solenoid valve IV; one end of a brake master cylinder I is connected with an electric push rod I, the other end of the brake master cylinder I is connected with one end of a main pipeline I, the other end of the main pipeline I is divided into two branch pipelines I, the two branch pipelines I are connected with a left brake wheel cylinder set and a right brake wheel cylinder set in a one-to-one correspondence mode, and a normally-open electromagnetic valve III is arranged on the branch pipeline I connected with the right brake wheel cylinder set. The normally open solenoid valve IV is arranged on a branch pipeline I connected with the left brake wheel cylinder group; according to the method, a three-axle automobile is steered according to the principle of a braking type steering mechanism of a tracked vehicle; the three-axle automobile can be assisted in turning around in a narrow space, and meanwhile the three-axle automobile running normally can be braked.
