The present document relates to a method for determining an angle setting (beta2) of an annular stator blade row arranged downstream of a propulsion propeller of a propulsion system having a longitudinal axis, the annular stator blade row receiving an airflow having a speed (V2), the invention relates to a method for operating a propulsion propeller (4), said speed comprising a longitudinal component (Viz) and a tangential component (Vi [theta]) associated with the speed of revolution produced by said propulsion propeller, said method comprising the steps of: establishing a theoretical model (14) of said propulsion propeller using a power (P1) and a mechanical speed (N1) associated with said propulsion propeller (4) and flight conditions (16), the flight conditions comprise the speed of airflow incident on the propulsion type propellers, the height of the propulsion system and the environment temperature; an angle setting ([beta] 1) of the propulsion propeller is determined from the theoretical model (14).
