The invention discloses an electric drive mining dump truck hydraulic folding ladder which comprises a pedaling platform, a folding ladder body and a hydraulic control component, the upper portion of the folding ladder body is hinged to the side portion of the pedaling platform through a rotating shaft, a swing oil cylinder of the hydraulic control component is fixed into the pedaling platform, and a torque output shaft of the swing oil cylinder is connected with the rotating shaft; the hydraulic control component comprises a hydraulic oil tank, a hydraulic pump, a control valve, a balance valve, a swing oil cylinder and hydraulic oil, main oil inlets of the hydraulic pump and the control valve are sequentially connected, and a main oil return opening of the control valve is connected with the hydraulic oil tank; a first working oil port of the control valve is connected with a first oil inlet of the balance valve, and a first oil outlet of the balance valve is connected with a lifting oil port of the swing oil cylinder. A second working oil port of the control valve is connected with a second oil inlet of the balance valve, and a second oil outlet of the balance valve is connected with a descending oil port of the swing oil cylinder. The invention further discloses a using method of the hydraulic folding ladder of the electric drive mining dump truck. The folding ladder of the mining dump truck can be stably folded and lifted.
