The drive unit includes a rotary actuator mounted to the main wing and having at least one drive arm rotatably driven about an axis of rotation and drivingly engaging the slat track, and one of the drive arm and the slat track includes at least one slot in which the slat track is coupled to the main wing. And the other of the drive arm and the slat track includes at least one plug drivingly engaging the slot. The invention further provides a slat assembly and an aircraft.
