The invention discloses a safety protection method and system for a station electronic fence. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring position information of a shunting locomotive and station operators; determining a dynamic position relationship between the station yard operating personnel and the station yard electronic fence according to the position information; and generating corresponding alarm protection information according to the dynamic position relationship, and notifying a dispatching center administrator, protection personnel and station yard operating personnel of the alarm protection information. According to the embodiment of the invention, an automatic safety protection mechanism is provided, so that modes of acquiring the warning information of the dispatching center by operators in the station can be increased, and the operation safety of the operators in the station is improved.
