The present disclosure provides "functional state adaptive power management". A method for controlling an active chassis power system of a vehicle includes determining, via a processor, a minimum output voltage/current threshold of an aggregated power supply associated with active chassis operation; and generating an aggregated functional state (SoF) indicative of a maximum voltage/current budget for an output of the vehicle active chassis power system. The aggregated SoF is based on a primary power supply voltage/current output and a power storage device voltage/current output. The method further includes causing an active chassis power system actuator to be controlled based on a minimum voltage/current value associated with the aggregated SoF. Consequently, controlling the active chassis power system actuators may include issuing the aggregated SoF to a brake actuator, a steering actuator, or a domain controller that actively assigns aggregated power supply capability SoF to the brake actuator and the steering actuator based on one or more current vehicle states.
