The invention discloses a car following control method and related equipment. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring driving information of a to-be-followed vehicle; taking the vehicle speed information and the wind speed information as input of a trailing vortex simulation model to obtain a simulated vehicle following position of the target vehicle; obtaining lane line type information and lane line position information in front of the target vehicle; and based on the lane line type information, the lane line position information and the simulated vehicle-following position, controlling the target vehicle to carry out vehicle-following driving. According to the vehicle following control method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the influence of the speed of the front vehicle and the wind speed on the trailing vortex in the driving process is considered, and the influence of the lane line type and the lane line position is considered. The target vehicle can be controlled to be close to the simulated vehicle following position as much as possible on the premise that the target vehicle complies with the traffic rules and the vehicle following safety is guaranteed, so that the trailing vortex negative pressure of the vehicle to be followed is fully utilized, and the vehicle following fuel economy of the target vehicle is improved.

    本发明公开了一种跟车控制方法及相关设备。该方法包括:获取待跟随车辆的行驶信息;将车速信息和风速信息作为尾涡仿真模型的输入以获取目标车辆的仿真跟车位置;获取目标车辆前方的车道线类型信息和车道线位置信息;基于车道线类型信息、车道线位置信息和仿真跟车位置控制目标车辆进行跟车行驶。本申请实施例提出的跟车控制方法,不仅考虑了前车车速和行驶过程中风速对于尾涡的影响并且考虑了车道线类型和车道线位置的影响。可以保证目标车辆在遵守交通规则,保证跟车安全的前提下,尽量控制目标车辆与仿真跟车位置靠近,以充分利用待跟随车辆的尾涡负压,以提升目标车辆的跟车燃油经济性。
