The size of the propulsive force generator in the axial direction of the rotating shaft of the motor is reduced while the pitch angle of the rotating blades driven by the motor can be changed. A propulsive force generator (1) includes: a propulsive force generating motor (2) configured to generate propulsive force of rotating blades (H1 to H3); a pitch changing motor (5) configured to generate a rotational motion for changing a pitch angle of the rotating blades (H1 to H3); a rotational-linear motion conversion unit (7) configured to convert rotational motion generated by the pitch change motor (5) into linear motion; and a linear motion-rotation conversion unit (8) configured to convert the linear motion converted by the rotation-linear motion conversion unit (7) into a rotational motion. At least a portion of the linear motion-rotation conversion unit (7) is located within the propulsive force generating motor (2).
