The invention belongs to the field of solar unmanned aerial vehicles, and particularly relates to a truss type solar unmanned aerial vehicle which comprises a motor, a wing and an empennage, the wing and the empennage are connected through a vehicle body, the wing comprises a rectangular wing in the middle and two small trapezoidal wings distributed at the wingtip, the empennage is an H-shaped empennage, the vehicle body is a space truss, and the space truss is in a trapezoidal shape with the wide front portion and the narrow rear portion. The space truss is composed of two or more layers of plane trusses which are connected, each layer of plane truss is formed by connecting a plurality of spanwise rods, longitudinal rods and diagonal draw bars, nodes of the adjacent layers of plane trusses are connected through vertical rods, the bottom of the rectangular wing is connected with the front portion of the uppermost layer of plane truss through vertical rods, and the bottom of the rectangular wing is connected with the front portion of the uppermost layer of plane truss through vertical rods. The bottom of the horizontal tail of the H-shaped empennage is connected with the rear portion of the plane truss on the uppermost layer through a vertical rod. The truss type solar unmanned aerial vehicle is easier to assemble and maintain, the structure of the unmanned aerial vehicle is simplified, and the whole unmanned aerial vehicle can achieve the strength and rigidity required by a high-aspect-ratio unmanned aerial vehicle.
