The invention discloses a heavy tower crane boom structure based on an improved steel pipe. The heavy tower crane boom structure comprises a base part, a conversion part and an extension part which are connected in sequence, the base part comprises a fixing plate, a first connecting plate, a first lower chord pipe and a first upper chord pipe which are sequentially connected, and a first abdominal pipe and a second abdominal pipe are arranged between the first lower chord pipe and the first upper chord pipe; the conversion part comprises a second connecting plate, a second lower chord pipe, a second upper chord pipe and a third connecting plate which are connected in sequence; a third web pipe and a fourth web pipe are connected between the second upper chord pipe and the second lower chord pipe; the extending part comprises a fourth connecting plate, a third lower chord pipe, a third upper chord pipe and an end plate which are connected in sequence; a fifth web pipe and a sixth web pipe are connected between the third lower chord pipe and the third upper chord pipe; the device is reasonable in structural design, high in stability and suitable for application and popularization.
