Various embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a supervisory system for autonomous vehicle communication. A system includes an autonomous vehicle (AV) and an operation server operably coupled with the AV. The operation server accesses environmental data associated with a road on which the AV travels. The environmental data is associated with a time window during which the AV travels along the road. The operation server compares the environment data with map data including an expected road shape in front of the AV. The operation server determines whether the environmental data includes an unexpected road condition not included in the map data. In response to determining that the environmental data includes an unexpected road condition not included in the map data, the operation server determines position coordinates of the unexpected road condition and communicates commands to the AV to maneuver to avoid the unexpected road condition.
