According to one specific embodiment, the method comprises the steps that when the unmanned vehicle receives a target steering instruction sent by a remote cockpit, the network state of the unmanned vehicle at the current moment T1 is obtained, and the target steering instruction is used for enabling the unmanned vehicle to execute a target steering action; when the network state at the moment T1 meets a preset network condition, acquiring a current distance between the unmanned vehicle and a surrounding obstacle through a sensor arranged on the unmanned vehicle; when the current distance does not meet the safety distance, the unmanned vehicle is controlled to execute a first steering action; wherein the steering angle corresponding to the first steering action is smaller than the steering angle corresponding to the target steering action; the obstacle is located on the side face of a vehicle body of the unmanned vehicle. According to the embodiment, when the network is delayed, the unmanned vehicle can be controlled to steer or brake in time, and the unmanned vehicle is prevented from colliding with the obstacle.
