The invention discloses a train braking system, a braking method and a train set, the train braking system penetrates through each compartment of a train, the system comprises a first braking subsystem, the first braking subsystem comprises an automatic air braking control system, and automatic air braking is achieved through a train pipe penetrating through each compartment. The train braking system further comprises a second braking subsystem, and the second braking subsystem achieves pneumatic control straight-through braking through a straight-through braking pipe penetrating through each compartment. The first braking subsystem and the second braking subsystem are connected in parallel through the input end of a two-way valve arranged in each compartment to control the pressure intensity of a braking cylinder connected with the output end of the two-way valve. An existing single braking system is improved, the two braking systems connected in parallel are adopted, and the maximum transportation efficiency of a train can be achieved.
