The invention relates to a method for operating an electrified drive train of a work machine (30), in which, via a drive coupling of an electric motor of the drive train with at least one wheel of the work machine: an acceleration torque generated by the electric motor causes an increase in speed of the at least one wheel; a brake torque generated by the electric motor causes a reduction in speed of the at least one wheel; an acceleration torque generated by the at least one wheel causes an increase in speed of the electric motor; and a braking torque generated by the at least one wheel causes a reduction in speed of the electric motor. The method according to the invention is characterized in that an undesired acceleration of the work machine (30, 12) is counteracted (13) by means of an automated additional braking intervention during a regeneration operation of the electric motor (10). The invention also relates to a corresponding electrified drive train for a work machine (3) and to a corresponding work machine (3).
