The invention provides an undervoltage protection method of an automobile battery pack and a related device. The method comprises the steps that the output current and the SOC value of a battery pack in the automobile are monitored; according to a preset time interval, judging whether the battery pack meets a power lack judgment condition; the power shortage judgment condition comprises that the current SOC value of the battery pack is smaller than a preset SOC threshold value and the current output current of the battery pack is larger than a preset current threshold value; each time the battery pack is judged to meet the power shortage judgment condition, adding a unit numerical value to the accumulated value; if it is monitored that the battery pack does not meet the power shortage judgment condition, resetting the accumulated value as an initial value; if it is monitored that the accumulated value is larger than the preset accumulated threshold value, the automobile is controlled to reduce electricity consumption. By means of the scheme, the vehicle control unit can jointly judge whether the battery is lack of electricity or not according to the output current and the SOC value of the battery, and when it is judged that the battery is lack of electricity, the battery is prevented from being lack of electricity by reducing the electricity consumption of the vehicle, and therefore the effect of vehicle battery lack of electricity protection is improved.
