Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a head-up display (HUD) system. The HUD system may include a transparent support structure, an electrochromic element, and an HUD controller. The electrochromic element may be attached to a surface of the transparent material. The HUD controller may be electrically coupled to the electrochromic element and configured to control translucency of the electrochromic element via a control signal.
