The invention discloses a truss structure for directly mounting a secondary payload adapter to a space craft payload adapter. Systems, methods, and apparatus for mounting secondary payload adapters directly to a truss structure common to space craft payload adapters. In one or more embodiments, a method of counteracting a load to a space craft payload adapter includes passing through more than two spacer rings of the space craft payload adapter, a load generated by a secondary payload mounted on the space craft payload adapter is counteracted into a truss structure of the space craft payload adapter. The method further includes counteracting the load to the front ring and the rear ring of the space craft payload adapter through the struts of the truss structure. In one or more embodiments, the reaction of the load maintains a high frequency (e.g., greater than (gt; ) a thirty (30) Gilz (GHz) mode.
