The invention discloses a management and control method and system for unmanned vehicles in an intersection area. The method for managing and controlling the unmanned vehicle in the intersection area comprises the following steps: acquiring a map of an area in which the vehicle travels; acquiring position information of the vehicle; determining a lane line where the vehicle is located currently based on the map and the position information of the vehicle; when the vehicle is planned to pass through the intersection area, judging whether the intersection area planned to pass through by the vehicle is a fixed road section intersection area or a non-fixed road section intersection area based on the map; determining a safety interval of the vehicle based on a judgment result that whether the intersection area has a fixed road section or not and a lane line where the vehicle is located currently; and determining a coordinate set of the waypoints of the lane lines on which the vehicle can be driven based on the safety interval of the vehicle, and sending the coordinate set of the waypoints of the lane lines on which the vehicle can be driven to the vehicle.
