The present invention effectively suppresses vibration and noise generated in a permanent magnet synchronous motor. This motor control device (1) is provided with: a triangular wave generation unit (17) that generates a triangular wave signal (Tr) as a carrier wave; a carrier frequency adjustment unit (16) that adjusts a carrier frequency (fc) indicating the frequency of the triangular wave signal (Tr); and a gate signal generation unit (18) that pulse-width modulates three-phase voltage commands (Vu *, Vv *, Vw *) corresponding to the torque command (T *) using the triangular wave signal (Tr), and generates a gate signal for controlling the operation of the inverter. The carrier frequency adjustment unit (16) adjusts the carrier frequency (fc) so as to change a voltage phase error ([delta] [theta] v) indicating the phase difference between the three-phase voltage commands (Vu *, Vv *, Vw *) and the triangular wave signal (Tr) on the basis of the torque command (T *) and the rotational speed ([omega] r) of the motor.
