The invention provides a geographic location-based vehicle access system and method. Disclosed herein are geo-location-based vehicle access systems and methods. An exemplary method includes receiving a blockchain ledger from a vehicle operating in a controlled area, the blockchain ledger including a timestamped location and vehicle data. The method also includes comparing the timestamped location and vehicle data with a database record having control access parameters for a controlled area. Further, the method includes generating a notification when the timestamped location and vehicle data match a control access parameter for the controlled area, the controlled area being one of the controlled areas. In particular, the method includes providing the notification to the vehicle or a user of the vehicle.
