The invention provides a vehicle identification device, a vehicle control system, a vehicle identification method, and a storage medium capable of suppressing degradation of automatic control performance of a vehicle due to adhesion of dirt to a lidar. An identification device for a vehicle is provided with: an acquisition unit that acquires a value of a parameter relating to the degree of fouling of an in-vehicle lidar device that detects an object using electromagnetic waves of light or near light; and a determination unit that determines that the state of the vehicle-mounted lidar device is an abnormal state when the value of the parameter continues to exceed a threshold value during a first period and the amount of change in the value of the parameter during a second period including a part or all of the first period is within a reference range.

    本发明提供一种能够抑制因污垢对激光雷达的附着而使车辆的自动控制的性能下降的情况的车辆用识别装置、车辆控制系统、车辆用识别方法及存储介质。车辆用识别装置具备:取得部,其取得与车载激光雷达装置的污垢程度相关的参数的值,所述车载激光雷达装置使用光或接近光的电磁波来探测物体;以及判定部,其在所述参数的值在第一期间里持续超过阈值且包含所述第一期间的一部分或全部的第二期间中的所述参数的值的变化量为基准范围内的情况下,将所述车载激光雷达装置的状态判定为异常状态。
