The invention relates to the technical field of roadside temporary parking, and discloses an ETC-based low-cost urban roadside temporary parking space management method, which is characterized in that the input end of an electronic gate module is electrically connected with an automatic payment module and a data display module, and the input end of the data display module is electrically connected with an information reading module; the input end of the information reading module is electrically connected with the information arrangement module, the input end of the information arrangement module is electrically connected with the parking space camera module and the road camera module, and the output end of the electronic gate module is electrically connected with the ETC information reading module. Image information of a target position is transmitted to an information arrangement module through a parking space camera module and a road camera module which are installed at fixed positions, and a vehicle opens a gate through a vehicle-mounted ETC module and an ETC information reading module on an electronic gate module. When the vehicle is driven out of the electronic gate module, payment is carried out according to the time recorded by the time recording module and the vehicle number.
