The invention discloses a water lung diving propulsion device and a control method thereof. The water lung diving propelling device comprises a support, a water pressure sensor, a diving computer and an air bag. The compressed air cylinder, the water pressure sensor, the diving computer and the air bag are all installed on the support, an air valve used for being communicated with the compressed air cylinder is communicated with the air bag through a pipeline, and the air valve and the water pressure sensor are both in communication connection with the diving computer. The submersible computer is used for receiving a water pressure signal sent by the water pressure sensor and changing the communication state of the air bag and the compressed air cylinder through the air valve according to the water pressure signal. The technical problem that in the prior art, a water lung diving propulsion device is not high in safety performance is solved.
