The invention provides a high-capacity bidirectional isolation type direct current-direct current converter and a control method thereof so as to meet the latest requirements of a bidirectional high-capacity isolation type LDC (direct current-direct current converter). The present disclosure provides a novel bi-directional isolated LDC in which two converters having different power circuit topologies operate in parallel to enable both buck mode and boost mode simultaneously. The two applied converters are a phase-shifted full-bridge converter with full-bridge synchronous rectification and an active clamped forward converter. According to the invention, the advantages of a phase-shift full-bridge converter and an active clamping forward converter using full-bridge synchronous rectification can be realized. Therefore, output voltage and current ripples can be minimized, so that the quality of LDC output power is improved while electromagnetic waves generated during product operation are minimized.
