The invention relates to a method (100) for estimating the available charge capacity of an electrical energy store. The method includes determining a new nominal initial charge capacity (300) to a slightly degraded energy store and a maximum initial estimated error (200, 400); determining one or more nominal charge capacities (350) and one or more maximum estimated errors (250, 450) of the degraded energy store; interpolating a curve of variation of the nominal charge capacity (150) and the maximum lower estimation error (130) and the maximum upper estimation error (230) between an interpolation point of the nominal charge capacity (300, 350) and an interpolation point of the maximum estimation error (200, 250, 400, 450); for a current state of degradation of the energy store, a nominal state of charge (150) and a current available charge capacity are estimated with a lower estimated allowance (130) and the current available charge capacity is estimated with an upper estimated allowance (230). The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method and to a vehicle having such a device.
