According to the inhaul cable type buffering handrail, a sliding sleeve and a sliding barrel are in clearance fit, a pin shaft is transversely installed on the sliding sleeve, and the sliding barrel is installed on a longitudinal beam through a connecting block. Two ends of the spring are respectively supported on the lower end of the sliding sleeve and the spring seat which is connected with the sliding cylinder through the adjusting bolt. The rope wheel is installed on the longitudinal beam through the wheel seat, and the sleeve penetrates through the box wall and the longitudinal beam. The two ends of the rope are connected with the pin shaft and the handrail through rope clamps respectively, and the rope penetrates through the sleeve and is supported on the rope wheel. The two ends of the handrail are installed on two supports symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the box wall respectively. When the elevator car is severely impacted, the injury can be relieved or avoided by holding the handrail by passengers.
