The method comprises the following steps: formulating a corresponding power distribution strategy; classifying working conditions of a power supply arm of a traction power supply system according to the power distribution strategy; classifying the working conditions of the energy storage device and the 10kV power system according to the working condition classification of the power supply arm of the traction power supply system; according to daily load data of a long and large ramp traction substation, energy storage equipment is selected, and a proper capacity ratio is determined; and establishing an objective function and constraint conditions of economic benefits according to the capacity, power, state of charge and the like of the selected equipment. Through combined configuration of the energy storage equipment and the 10kV system, regenerative braking electric energy can be effectively utilized, peak load shifting can be achieved, loads can be smoothed, the capacity of a traction transformer is reduced, and then the economical efficiency of the system is improved.
