A mobile battery charger (1) for use in an electric vehicle is provided with: a tray (2) on which a battery (100) is placed; a control device (4) that controls the charging of the storage battery (100); and a frame (33) positioned above the control device (4), the tray (2) having: a first inclined surface (10a) that is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane and that is formed along the longitudinal direction (V1) of the battery (100) in a state in which the battery (100) is placed on the charger (1), and a second inclined surface (10b) that is formed along the longitudinal direction (V1) of the battery (100) in a state in which the battery (100) is placed on the charger (1); and a second inclined surface (11a) that stands up from an end of the first inclined surface (10a) so as to extend along a height direction (V2) of the battery (100) in a mounted state in which the battery (100) is mounted on the charger (1), and that receives a bottom surface of the battery (100), the control device (4) being disposed below the first inclined surface (10a), and the second inclined surface (11a) being disposed below the first inclined surface (10a). The frame (33) is disposed between the control device (4) and the first inclined surface (10a) in the vertical direction.
