The invention relates to a battery overcurrent protection method, and belongs to the technical field of vehicles. The method comprises the steps that when a driving mode is a power assisting mode, the maximum power assisting torque of a starting integrated motor is determined on the basis of the current maximum allowable discharging power of a 48V battery and the current required power of a DCDC, the output torque is determined on the basis of the maximum power assisting torque of the starting integrated motor, and the starting integrated motor is controlled to carry out power output through the output torque; when the driving mode is a recovery mode, the maximum recovery torque of the heuristic integrated motor is determined based on the current maximum allowable charging power of the 48V battery and the current required power of the DCDC, the recovery torque is determined based on the maximum recovery torque of the heuristic integrated motor, and the heuristic integrated motor is controlled to generate power at the recovery torque. By the adoption of the method and device, the battery overcurrent phenomenon can be prevented under the condition that the vehicle runs normally, the safety of the vehicle is improved, and the use experience of a user is enhanced.
