A method for controlling the charging of at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) is disclosed. Information about the electrical network and at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) is retrieved by the aggregator (1), and the aggregator (1) derives, on the basis of the retrieved information, a weighted distribution of a virtual inertia response and a fast frequency response to be provided by the electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) to the electrical network. A weighted distribution of the derived virtual inertia response and the fast frequency response is provided to the charge controller (4), and a total power available for charging the at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) is derived from the weighted distribution by the charge controller (4). An active power setpoint for each of the at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) is derived on the basis of the total available power and on the basis of the information about the at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22). Finally, the state of charge of each of the at least one electrical storage device (5, 21, 22) is controlled on the basis of the derived active power setpoint.
