Disclosed herein is a method of forming an anti-bioadhesive article, the method comprising extruding a material through a mold with a raised pattern such that the extruded material has a surface having a series of parallel splines over a base surface, and applying pressure to the surface of the extruded material with a first patterned template, the series of parallel convex splines are formed into discrete convex sections with different lengths; wherein the patterned template includes a groove inclined at an angle alpha relative to the spline. The method further includes applying pressure to the surface of the extruded material with a second patterned template, wherein the second patterned template includes a groove inclined at an angle [beta] relative to the spline.
