The invention relates to an apparatus for combating motion sickness in a vehicle. An apparatus is configured to be disposed in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to provide visual information to a passenger such that the visual information matches vestibular information and suppresses motion sickness. Furthermore, at least a portion of the device is configured to be movable within a predetermined limited range of movement corresponding to an acceleration of the vehicle, and the device is designed and configured to provide visual information to the occupant about a direction corresponding to the acceleration by moving the portion of the device by moving the portion of the device in the direction.
