The present disclosure provides a system and method for guiding a parked vehicle to travel to a parking site. The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for guiding a parked autonomous vehicle to autonomously travel from a parking location to a pick-up location. In one exemplary scenario, a user of a user device, such as a smartphone, may launch a software application in the smartphone to call the autonomous vehicle parked in, for example, a parking lot or a road. The software application displays a graphical presentation of the parking area along with an icon at any convenient pick-up location that can be dragged by the user in an active drivable area shown on the graphical presentation. The user places the icon on a desired pick-up location, and the smartphone transmits a command to the autonomous vehicle to travel to the pick-up location. A real-time representation of progress of the autonomous vehicle toward the pick-up location may be displayed on the user device.
