The invention discloses a vertical groove type bulkhead structure which comprises a web plate and panels, and the panels are arranged on the two sides of the web plate. The web plate and the panel form a vertically distributed groove strip, and the web plate and the panel are characterized in that the panel positioned on one side of the web plate is a pressed panel mainly bearing external pressure, and the panel positioned on the other side of the web plate is a pulled panel mainly bearing external pulling force; the width of the tension panel is greater than that of the compression panel; the width of the pressed panel is greater than half of the width of the pulled panel; the included angle between the web plate and the tension panel is not less than 55 degrees; the pressed panel is parallel to the pulled panel; and the thickness of the pressed panel is the same as that of the pulled panel. The construction difficulty is not increased, and meanwhile, the weight of the groove type bulkhead structure can be obviously reduced.
