The method is characterized in that the same radar sensor (14) is operated in the SAR measurement mode and in a Doppler measurement mode in which the relative speed of objects, including moving objects, is measured at a temporal resolution that is greater than the temporal resolution in the SAR measurement mode, in a time-shifted or simultaneous manner.
