The embodiment of the invention provides an electric vehicle energy consumption display method and device, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the recent mileage of an electric vehicle and the corresponding driving duration, and determining the total energy consumption of the electric vehicle corresponding to the recent mileage; obtaining the power of vehicle body electric appliances of the electric vehicle, and calculating the electric appliance loss of the vehicle body electric appliances in the driving duration; obtaining the speed and altitude change in the driving duration, determining the wind resistance loss of the electric vehicle in the driving duration according to the speed, and calculating brake recovery energy according to the speed and the altitude change; determining the transmission loss of the electric vehicle according to the external temperature and speed information; and determining an energy consumption graph according to the energy loss, and displaying the energy consumption graph through a display device of the electric vehicle. By adopting the method, the vehicle energy flow direction can be displayed, a user can be helped to know the energy direction, the user can conveniently adjust a travel plan, meanwhile, an automobile manufacturer can be helped to analyze the actual energy consumption condition of the user, and energy consumption improvement measures can be provided more pertinently.
