The invention discloses an overspeed protection device and method for descending of a high-speed elevator. The overspeed protection device comprises a traction wheel driven by a motor, the traction wheel is connected with a lift car through a steel cable, the traction wheel detects the rotating speed through an elevator velometer so as to measure the descending speed of the lift car, the overspeed protection device further comprises a protection mechanism, and the protection mechanism is located on the side face of the lift car; the protection mechanism comprises a friction column and a pair of clamping speed reduction parts, the friction column is parallel to a guide rail of the elevator and located at the side edge of the lift car, the clamping speed reduction parts are installed on the lift car, the pair of clamping speed reduction parts are symmetrically distributed at the two sides of the friction column, and the movable ends of the clamping speed reduction parts clamp the surface of the clamping friction column so that overspeed protection can be achieved; and when the elevator descends and is overspeed, the braking speed reduction effect can be achieved, the elevator is protected, the clamping speed reduction parts located on the lift car are adopted for speed reduction, the protection effect can be achieved, meanwhile, the pressure on the steel cable is reduced, the occupied space of upper and lower cross beams of the lift car is small, and the original upper and lower cross beams can be reserved.

    本发明公开了用于高速梯下行的超速保护装置,包括电机驱动的曳引轮,曳引轮通过钢索与轿厢连接,曳引轮通过电梯测速器检测转速进而测量轿厢的下行速度,还包括保护机构,保护机构位于轿厢的侧面,保护机构包括摩擦柱、以及一对夹持减速部,摩擦柱与电梯的导轨平行且位于轿厢的侧边,夹持减速部安装在轿厢上,一对夹持减速部对称分布在摩擦柱的两侧,夹持减速部的活动端对夹持摩擦柱的表面进行夹持进而实现超速保护;可在电梯下行超速时,起到制动减速的作用,对电梯进行保护,且由于采用位于轿厢上的夹持减速部进行减速,可在起到保护作用的同时,减少对钢索的压力,且对轿厢上下横梁空间侵占少,可保留原本的上下横梁。
