The elevator comprises a hoistway and a control system, wherein at least one car is arranged in the hoistway; the control system controls the car to move up and down and/or left and right in the hoistway; guide rails are installed on the hoistway; the car moves up and down and/or left and right along the guide rails; safety units and detection units are arranged on the guide rails; the safety units are composed of safety positioning structures and bidirectional safety seats; the safety positioning structures are provided with safety RFIDs; the detection units are provided with detection RFIDs; and both the safety RFIDs and the detection RFIDs can mark absolute floor values. The safety RFIDs are used for floor detection, car speed detection, car balance detection and the like; the detection units are used for detecting inter-story speed, calibrating floors and the like so as to realize overspeed and no-story-crossing; and when ascending and descending are overspeed and the car passes through the bidirectional safety seats, the car can be intercepted and stopped at a determined position, so that the purpose of safety protection is achieved, and the safety performance is high.
