The invention provides a worm machining process. The worm machining process comprises the following steps: S1, forging a blank material; S2, roughly turning the outer circle of the blank and then performing heat treatment; S3, grinding a center hole and then turning fastening threads; S4, semi-finely grinding the outer circle and the spiral cotton; S5, repeatedly grinding the center hole; and S6, finally, finely grinding the outer circle, the end face and the spiral face successively. The worm machining process is convenient to use and easy to operate, modular production of worm machining can be achieved by arranging a worm modular moving frame in the worm machining procedure, and therefore the worm machining efficiency is improved.
