The invention relates to the technical field of railway vehicle damping, in particular to a method for preventing a vertical backstop in a primary rubber pad group from falling off. The primary rubber pad group comprises a rubber pad body and the vertical backstop, and the vertical backstop is fixedly arranged in a middle positioning groove of the rubber pad body, so that the primary rubber pad group is of an integrated structure, and the buffer function of the vertical backstop on the steel spring group is prevented from being influenced by loosening and falling of the vertical backstop.
