Base cloth in the tarpaulin provided by the invention comprises warp yarns and weft yarns, wherein the warp yarns comprise first warp yarns and second warp yarns arranged between two adjacent first warp yarns; the weft yarns comprise first weft yarns and second weft yarns arranged between every two adjacent first weft yarns; and the first warp yarns and the first weft yarns are aramid yarns, and the second warp yarns and the second weft yarns are polyester yarns. In the whole latticed base cloth, the aramid fiber warp yarns are interspersed among the polyester warp yarns, the aramid fiber weft yarns are interspersed among the polyester weft yarns, the aramid fiber yarns are made of aramid fibers, and the aramid fibers have relatively high strength and toughness, so that the tensile and tear-resistant properties of the tarpaulin are improved; and the aramid yarns are interspersed in the polyester yarns, so that the production cost of the tarpaulin is reduced.
