According to the invention, a transmission mechanism (10) for pivoting a blade (7) of an air discharge device (1) is designed in a releasable or detachable manner. For this purpose, one embodiment of the invention provides a gearing mechanism having an oblique toothed gear (11, 12), which engages with a toothed rack (13) and thereby establishes a driving connection with the blade (7) by means of an axial force as a result of the oblique toothing.
