In order to suppress an increase in leakage current that may occur in a coupling capacitor of an electrical fault detection device, a first coupling capacitor (Cc1) has a first terminal that is connected to a first connection point on a current pathway of a power storage unit (20) insulated from a ground. A second coupling capacitor (Cc2) has, on the current pathway of the power storage unit (20), a second terminal that is connected to a second connection point having a lower potential than the first connection point, and a first terminal that is connected to a second terminal of the first coupling capacitor (Cc1). An AC output unit (13a) applies a prescribed AC voltage via an impedance element (Ra) to a third connection point (A) between the second terminal of the first coupling capacitor (Cc1) and the first terminal of the second coupling capacitor (Cc2). A voltage measurement unit (13b) measures the voltage at the third connection point (A). A determination unit (13c) determines whether there is an electrical fault on the basis of the voltage measured by the voltage measurement unit (13b).
