The invention relates to a magnetic suspension roller coaster system and a control method thereof. The system comprises a magnetic suspension roller coaster, a magnetic suspension track and a ground frequency converter module, wherein the magnetic suspension roller coaster comprises a vehicle-mounted storage battery, a suspension controller and a suspension electromagnet; a reaction metal plate is arranged at the bottom of the magnetic suspension roller coaster, the magnetic suspension track is an F-shaped track and comprises a horizontal section, an uphill section and/or a downhill section, the ground frequency converter module comprises a winding unit and a frequency converter, and the ground frequency converter module is arranged on the horizontal section, the uphill section and/or the downhill section of the magnetic suspension track according to a preset arrangement rule; in the starting state, when the magnetic suspension roller coaster passes above the ground frequency converter module, the frequency converter supplies power to the winding unit, and the winding unit and the reaction metal plate form a linear motor which is used for accelerating or decelerating the magnetic suspension roller coaster.
