The invention relates to a dual-mode power coupling system with an input shunting mode and an output shunting mode, and belongs to the technical field of hybrid power driving. The dual-mode power coupling system comprises a first power source, a second power source, a third power source, a planetary gear mechanism, a fixed gear train, a synchronizer and a brake, wherein the fixed gear train comprises first to seventh gears; and the planetary gear mechanism comprises a sun gear, an inner gear ring, a planet gear and a planet carrier. Two hybrid driving modes of input power shunting and output power shunting can be achieved only through one planetary gear mechanism, only one synchronizer and one brake need to be configured, and the structure is simple; multiple working modes can be achieved, the working modes are switched by controlling the synchronizer and the brake, the synchronizer is combined with the sixth gear or the seventh gear, conversion between the input shunting mode and the output shunting mode is completed, and the control process is simplified; and the system is high in efficiency, easy in spatial arrangement and high in working reliability.
